Android Authority 喺 Google Translate Android app 10.23.29.934758792.2-release 入面發現，Google 正整一個叫 Practice streak 嘅主畫面 widget。按佢哋嘅截圖，widget 會直接顯示你連續練習咗幾多日，點一下就開返 Translate 入面嘅 Practice mode；拉大 widget 都得，不過畫面資訊唔算多。重點係：呢個仍然係 APK teardown 見到嘅開發中功能，暫時未開畀一般用戶用，最後亦可能唔推出。

Translate 已經唔止係翻譯工具

Google 喺 2025 年 8 月宣布 Translate 加入 AI 語言練習功能，主打聽同講：你揀水平、學習目的，app 就按你嘅目標出情境練習，例如旅行、工作、日常對話。Google 官方 Help 而家列明 Practice mode 係 limited beta，支援地區包括香港；不過語言組合仍然窄，英文使用者可練法文、德文、葡文、西班牙文，多個語言使用者可練英文，當中包括 Simplified Chinese。想用佢正式操日文、韓文旅行對話，暫時未見官方支援。

widget 提醒力強過通知

呢個 widget 睇落功能好簡單，但針對嘅正正係學語言 app 一大難題：點樣令人養成每日打卡習慣。通知可以一掃就冇，但主畫面 widget 係你開手機就見到，提醒力自然強啲。Duolingo 自己喺 2023 年講過，widget 要做嘅唔係塞好多資料，而係畀你見到 streak 有冇危險，跟住一撳入去完成一課。Google 而家都用類似做法，即係 Translate 唔只想做即查工具，仲想變成你每日開嚟練幾分鐘嘅 app。

對香港用戶實際有幾大用

如果 Practice mode 真係穩定開放，英文口語同工作溝通會係幾實際嘅用法：返工前練一段簡短自我介紹、出 trip 前練酒店 check-in、開會前練幾句英文回應，呢啲實用過背生字。不過日文、韓文暫時仍要分清楚：Google Translate 本身可以翻譯同做即時對話，但 Practice mode 未支援就唔好寫到好似已經係免費日韓 tutor。香港有份喺官方支援地區名單入面，值得留意，但新 streak widget 未開放呢點要講清楚。

Google 嘅優勢喺邊

Duolingo 強喺課程、遊戲化、社群同學習路線，Google Translate 暫時未去到嗰個完整度。不過 Google 嘅優勢好現實：Translate 本身已經係大量 Android 用戶手機入面嘅工具，Google Play 亦顯示下載量過 10 億。當同一個 app 由翻譯、即場對話，再加到 AI Practice 同 streak widget，門檻就低好多。下一步要睇兩樣嘢：widget 會唔會正式公開，同 Practice mode 會唔會擴到日文、韓文同繁中用戶更常用嘅組合。
